Finding dropped screws. Listening to aviation stories. Nodding knowingly. The duties are straightforward, but there is one nonnegotiable rule: “Never ask when the airplane will be finished.” This 12 x 12 inch acrylic aviation sign turns a familiar afternoon in the hangar into a help wanted notice that pilots and aircraft mechanics will appreciate.

The retro artwork shows a mechanic working beneath an open engine cowling while a hangar assistant holds a flashlight and a tray of hardware. Cream and navy lettering, red accents, a winged star emblem, and distressed vintage styling give the scene its old school aviation character. The weathered appearance is part of the artwork. The sign itself is acrylic, not metal.

Product Details

Size: 12 x 12 inches

Material: acrylic

Main wording: “Help Wanted: Hangar Assistant”

Duties: holding flashlights, finding dropped screws, listening to aviation stories, and nodding knowingly

One rule: “Never ask when the airplane will be finished”

Retro aircraft maintenance artwork with a mechanic and hangar assistant

Aviation humor decor for hangars, workshops, and aviation offices

A Gift for the Hangar's Unofficial Crew

Every hangar has someone who knows where the dropped screw landed and has heard the same flying story more than once.
