Shipping

Airspeed Junkie’s shipping policy is divided into two different carriers.  We main employ USPS First Class and Priority Shipping as well as UPS Ground.  We currently do not offer an expediated option for either of these two services.  However, this is subject to constant change and scrutiny depending on the market.  For example, during the holiday season when volume is high, we may elect to add or remove certain shipping services.

 Any items that are 15oz or less will be shipped via USPS First Class.  Items weighing more than a pound but less than 5 pounds may go either USPS Priority or UPS ground.  The determination is made by ASJ based on location and speed. 

Flat rate shipping is added on certain items to cover the rising and out of control costs that have been escalated from all shipping companies.  Free shipping items will be clearly marked.  Items that have a shipping cost included are discounted for the customer in order to keep the prices competitive and reasonable.

All items shipped will have a tracking number emailed to the customer.

Our Sensible Shipping program utilizes a stamp from the USPS.  This is a call to simplicity but also to passing on the savings of shipping to the customer.  Not all items have to have a tracking number (as Amazon would have you believe)  Many of our items are light (such as decals) and do not need to have the price increased by $4 to cover the tracking number to ship them.  In case of an item not reaching our customers, just reach out to us and we will get them replaced.  This has been a hugely popular solution for our customers.

USPS Delivery Notifications

Occasionally USPS will give customers a delivery notification, (usually on First Class Postage) saying the item has been delivered when in fact it has not.  There is some sort of anomaly in the USPS system that sends an email saying an item is delivered when in fact it is out for delivery.  So far in what we have been able to discover is that this means it will come the next day.  Since the USPS is a government operation, its hard to argue with them.  If you wait till the next delivery day, the item generally shows up.  This happens a lot during the holiday period where there is high volume.

 

Shipping damage

If you have any damage to your product, there is a good chance it is from the shipping process. This is very common and happens a lot. We have pretty much seen it all. If you get damage, please contact us and we will make the arrangements to replace your item or replace the damaged part. If you can take a picture of the damage it will make our claim process that much easier.

Large items cannot be shipped to PO Boxes. If you have a small order, the USPS may be used if you include a PO Box. You will receive a shipment tracking number which is automatically sent when the item ships. ASJ practices Green Recycling techniques. Packing materials may include recycled packing fill material to further enhance and save our landfills.

International shipping

Currently we do not support international shipping at this time.
